Our Story

Plug LAB is named after Greenleaf & Christine's three children, Lydia, Avery, & Benjamin. Greenleaf has been fishing since he was 5 years old, when his mother taught him to handline Snapper Blues in Saquatucket Harbor. As an avid fisherman, Greenleaf's grandfather Chuck took him sport fishing most summers aboard his 31' Bertram. During his early adolescence, Skinnequit Pond in Harwich became  a familiar fishin spot. In his 20's Greenleaf lived in Florida where he targeted Snook, Redfish, and Spotted Sea Trout by kayak, as well as, Grouper, Snapper, and Kingfish by boat.  In 2010, Greenleaf, Christine, and their first child Avery relocated back to the Cape. Greenleaf met new friends who got him into fishing the Canal, Inlets, and the Estuaries of the Cape.

Greenleaf began building custom-made fishing plugs in 2015. His passion for fishing and his need for plugs that worked under specific ocean conditions created the need to build dedicated plugs. Pictures of those  plugs on social media led to requests by fishermen within the entire migration range of the Striped Bass. In 2017, Greenleaf began offering his custom-made fishing plugs to the public.

Plug LAB is all about teaching the next generation of fisherman. Sharing memories, building experience, and teaching stewardship of our valuable resources for future generations to come.
